Dragged through the mud, so many feel no love

The youth barely surviving, you can see a void in their eyes

Their parents told them to constantly cost cut, they all stuck

Between confined places, by the time of graduation

The air gets thinner as they drown in college debt

The throat itches, at the thought of financial intuition

Wondering with the knowledge kept and dollars spent

Will they make better decisions?

When there’s traps everywhere, everything is a subscription

Lint is swelling up their pants, for basic entertainment apps

So they work at the fueling station with grueling impatience

Cause their wage is minimum, and their tank is vacant

With blunts and pills they become complacent

Because they want to feel like their life is real

Doomscrolling gives them an illusion of freedom

Late nights, praying to Christ, no colluding nor healing

Cause the only way to make it as big as notorious

Is either stripping, scamming, or gambling ‘til your glorious

Cause companies got Gen Z scraping for pennies

No wonder plenty resort to packing the semi

When they ain’t making it semi or halfway

If there’s a crash it will be heavy one day

Ain’t too many in these parts that can afford to eat

So they’ll construct rally boards, loot stores, demanding more

As I sit back, viewing violence I saw from light years

The world deserves to burn, and I might reach for the spark
